Enjoy style in Blaricum 🍽

The challenge

In recent years, Restaurant de Goede Gooier has built an excellent reputation in't Gooi. With their fantastic location on the Blaricummerheide and high-quality dishes, they are therefore able to attract countless visitors, cyclists and walkers. Nevertheless, the restaurant is barely able to attract new customers, mainly because of their website.

Because the website looked very outdated and the USPs were not emphasized enough, the owners noticed that many visitors to the website ended up not making a reservation.

So the question to us is:

β€œCan you update and modernize the style of Restaurant de Goede Gooier to suit our current restaurant again and attract new guests?”

Getting started

When we arrived at the restaurant, our mouths dropped. The sunny terrace on the Blaricummerheide with the surrounding forest area is really a gem to see! Having lunch or dinner on that is an obvious USP who deserves a lot of attention in communication and unfortunately isn't getting it right now.

The idea

Because the restaurant is already very well known among the local residents and the restaurant is already well filled with regular customers. Is it our idea to make the website more inspiring? Inspiring for JUST the new visitors who don't know about this great location yet. By letting the location play a leading role and complementing it with the dishes and a wide range of wine, a very nice storytelling is created that should convince new viewers.

The Blaricummerheide is the calling card

The implementation

Because the entire style and website were very outdated, we decided to give the corporate identity a significant update. We did this on the basis of a style study, making stylescapes and finally presenting a new style + logo.

The new style looks modern again, matches the colors of the restaurant and responds perfectly to the restaurant's core values (authentic, natural, inviting and homey) through the use of color, typography, images and illustrations.

The style guide summarizes all the rules of the corporate identity in a clear format

After drawing up the style and style guide, we started designing the website. Because we want to inspire with the website, we chose a storytelling website. The narrative website takes you through a logical flow that makes you increasingly curious about the location and the restaurant. With the ultimate intention, clicking on that well-known button: reserve.

Results that we have achieved

Growth in organic reach and visitors

Due to a clear structure, strong web texts, a beautiful corporate identity and good SEO, the website was visited by more than 4,000 visitors via Google in the first month. Wow! 😲

The reservations page is a success!

Since the launch of the new website, a whopping 27.7% of all visitors, after viewing the homepage and menu, have navigated to the reservations page. 🀘
